New York, (Monday) March 30, 1931
The "Resolute" arrived at and left Nagasaki, on time after a smooth passage,
as reported by radiogram.
On the way across the Yellow Sea there were Meetings of the Masonic and
Travel Implessions Clubs and a Dance.
At Nagasaki, on the Island of Kyushu, Western Japan, The "Resolute" was
greeted by the Mayor and all other city Authorities,
who gave our passengers a Luncheon with an address of welcome and Geisha
Dances under the Cherry Blossoms.
This delightful reception was in Suwa Park, where is the Bronze Horse Temple,
overlooking beatiful Nagasaki Harbor
This is the place where resided, if fictionally Puccini's Madame Butterfly
and Loti's Madame Chrysantheme and their creators
could not have chosen a more charming spot as the locale of their tragic
romances.
Here every lover of the romantic and beautiful has felt a responsive thrill.

After a smooth voyage, as advised by radiogram, the "Resolute" arrived on
time at Nagasaki, Beppu, Miyajima and Kobe, Japan.
As aiways, the "Resolute" party received a cordial welcome from the Japanese,
with many cheerful Ohayos and Good-mornings as tokens of friendly feeling..
Kobe is a modern business city with an attractive shopping street Mata Machi.
But better yet, it is the base from which your friend go by special trains
for visits at Nara,
with its Sacred Deer Park, and Kyoto, an ancient capital and the most delightful
large city in Japam.
Because the least Occidentalized.
At Kyoto our "Resolute" guests will especially enjoy a private performance
of the famaous Cherry Blossom Dance, Miyaka Odori.
